I’m Brayden.
I’m an Australian celebrant based in London. I came to celebrancy through writing, storytelling and working closely with people, and I’m now expanding my work into funerals and memorials.

I want to know what they were actually like.
When we talk, I’ll be interested in the things that might seem too ordinary to mention. Who did they ring every Sunday? What could they talk about for hours? What would everyone in the room recognise?
Some of those details will belong in the ceremony. Others will help me understand the person I’m writing about. You can tell me if something is just for our conversation.
I’m naturally fairly informal. I’d rather we had a proper conversation than worked through a list of facts about someone. I’ll ask questions and help you work out what you want said.
And then I’ll do the writing.
I’ll turn what we discuss into a ceremony you can read and comment on. I’ll also help with contributions from other people, liaise with your funeral director and lead the service.
You don’t need to know how to write a eulogy to work with me.
